Visitors are welcomed at the door, and then they are escorted throughout the museum. They start their tour on the third floor. The Roman Empire Period is depicted on the third level, and the Ottoman Period is depicted on the second floor of the museum as part of the extensive audiovisual experience offered on the top two floors of the museum.
On the first floor, many of the artefacts are, for the first time, being exhibited publicly in the cathedral, mosque, museum, and mosque galleries.
The Eastern Roman cistern is visible through the frameless windows on the ground floor of the building.
